Recording a project can take a number of days, so it is important for someone to be in control of the smooth operation and to make sure everything goes to plan. The producer can organise a venue, dates, even refreshments, as well as making sure that everything gets recorded, and to everyone’s satisfaction.
The producer will often be a sounding board for the musicians, someone who will give an honest opinion and make suggestions.
